After leaving school, Kathy completed a nursing course at Coleg Powys in Newtown; with this insight she knew a career in a clinical profession was for her. In 1994 Kathy started as full-time dental nurse in a practice in Welshpool, where she obtained her Dental Nursing Diploma. She worked there until having her two children, Sian in 2004 and Megan in 2007, and returned part time after that. She joined the team at Glansevern in March 2009 working part-time alongside Paul Godbold.
